EU freedom of movement: who the Act applies to
The Freedom of Movement Act applies only to EU citizens and their family members. Family members of an EU citizen who come from third countries enjoy particular privileges with regard to their right of residence. Anyone outside this group falls under the Residence Act.
When freedom of movement is withdrawn

Where it meets social security law
Whether and for how long the right to freedom of movement exists often depends on employment status. Entitlements to benefits attach to the same status and are governed by European social security law. Where family members join you, the rules on family reunification apply.
